Inside the June Issue

Finally. After months of bundling up under sweaters, and remaining inside our homes, it’s time to enjoy the outdoors. Whether you are watching your child play in a baseball game, selecting new plantings for your garden, walking the dog, or just lounging in the hammock—seize the good weather. Walking to the mailbox and finding this June issue of Create & Decorate (rain or shine) would be a particularly sunny thing to do! Although you will eventually wind up inside again rummaging through your craft supplies, we encourage you with plenty of inspiring seasonal ideas to fashion and decorate your home indoors and out.

The Cat's Pajamas
design by Denise White
Since this time of year kicks off the planting season, we are sharing scores of garden projects. This issue presents wind chimes, a mosaic watering can, and a profusion of floral motifs in a variety of craft techniques. June is also synonymous with weddings, and we are thrilled to share ten pages of Ideas for a Country Wedding that we hope you find as a creative influence while planning your special day. Our designers share with you visions and patterns to organize, decorate, and give special meaning to a wedding. Of course, as always, we have packed the rest of this June issue with creative approaches just waiting to be tackled—from designing with polymer clay, and needle felting, to punch needle and painting.

So you have to come indoors for a bit, but we promise it will be worth it!
